July Reflections

Reflection on how July went for me, looking at some highlights

Drawing of a mind map, on center the title 'July highlights', below the title there's a drawing of sticky figure of me using glasses, in a seated position and reading my Bullet Journal. Around the title and the drawing there are many texts with the higlights, they are stated on the post as a list.

After stressing out about not posting last week and dealing with a lack of motivation, I decided to write about my July reflections.

As an enthusiast of Bullet Journaling, the Montly Reflection is a practice I do it offline while reading my journal, highlighting some points to better understand how the month went for me.

That also helps me to gain some motivation and allows me to recognise my achievements, which can be difficult sometimes.

✨ Highlights:

  • Last days of physiotherapy (due to intense training).
  • Published the new version of my blog.
  • Posted 3 times on my blog (yay!).
  • Engaged in important discussions at work about team dynamics, personal development, and gender.
  • Recovering from burnout (well, this is a deep topic...).
  • Stand-up paddleboarding with friends ( I ☀️ summer) which I didn’t fall at any time. My training is really paying off.
  • Conducted 2 tech interviews, plus a “meet the team” interview.
  • Presented at a “Tech Community Meeting” at work about Next.js redirects.
  • Presented a demo of my team’s progress at work.
  • Initiated a new project at work that I’ve been planning for a long time. Good or bad, I plan to share about this experience when it ends. :)
  • My longest run - 23 km!

📝 Posts:

Well, looking back at this month I see a really interesting progress and quite some achievements. More details of these hihghlights I do it for myself on my BuJo.

As I mentioned, I often forget about the amazing things I’ve done and this kind of reflection really helps me to recognize both good and tough experiences I’ve been through and maybe improve or deal with things that didn't went so well.

Even reminding myself that these kind of reflections makes me feel better is hard 😅.

If you're still here. Thanks for reading :)
